Hey it's Andrew Muller here from TheRealMusician.com. Here are some updates about what is going on in the site lately.

Updates

Big Changes To The Site Happening

Over the past month I have been greatly changing things over the site.

The first thing you should notice is that I've widened the site, and added in a 3rd column to the right.

I'm trying to keep the look as clean as possible, as I really don't want to violate your eyes with a bombardment of crap.

I want the look as clean as possible, but I feel the 3rd column on the right will allow me to get you guys updates faster, and will help categorize some of the more important information on here.

You'll notice I now am prominently placing a band of the month on the right-hand side. I think this will make it a lot easier for you guys to find new bands (Instead of having to navigate to the "Artists" page, which you should do anyways).

As well I'll be adding some more useful stuff in this column.

I'm also going to be deleting some pages that are useless on here.

Over time my opinions on music have changed, and I'm going to be working on re-working some old material to better reflect that.

After looking through some of the pages here, I sometimes think "What the balls was I thinking?". So that is why I've decided to change some of this stuff.

You will also notice that I've made a new banner for the top of the site.

I made it up of some great album covers, and I also took the image of myself saying "I have better taste in music than you" off of it.

It's not that I didn't think that was sufficiently hilarious (It definitely was), but I think a lot of people simply...didn't get the joke.

I was being pretty facetious in the fact that I was making fun of musical elitists who think they are Gods of music and anything they don't like sucks.

But apparently some people just didn't get it, and I ended up with a bunch of hate mail (Which I definitely am going to place up in the hate mail section) from people who don't understand satire.

So look forward to the updates!

Featured Artist Of The Month

Maudlin Of The Well

To continue on with last month's band "Kayo Dot", I've made this month's band of the Month "Maudlin Of The Well", made up largely of the same group of people.

In case you didn't know, Maudlin of the Well literally "Dreams up" most of their music. They practice Lucid dreaming (Dreaming where you know you are in a dream) and then extract the music from the astral plane.

In any case, it's worth you checking out, so I would recommend you get on that!

I'm continually adding new artists to the Directory, so check back often! The URL to the Music Artist Directory is below:

I recently went through the arduous journey of getting a volume pedal for my guitar, so I decided to share the findings of my research with all of you out there.

I spent countless hours looking at reviews, and talking to professional musicians to come up with this information, so it's not something I would take lightly if I were you.

This is part 2 and 3 of the 5-part series (Part 4 will be featured in next months issue)
