If you like any of the following bands, you will probably like Atlas Sound.
I remember when I first listened to Atlas Sounds' song "The Light That Failed". I felt like natural sounds of reverb and echo were penetrating me from every-what direction.
It was a new experience for me, that a band had put such…I don't know how to explain, but such a large amount of detail into their seemingly washed-out and faded songs.
Focusing on large amounts of reverb, echo, acoustic guitar, and repetitive guitar chords riffs, Atlas Sound produces something very different than what you are used to listening to.
The definitely fit in the whole Grizzly Bear/Animal Collective vein of bands, with intricate samples and catchy riffs. With songs like "Walkabout" and "Sheila", you can't help but be entranced in their tunes.
I can truthfully say that I've put the entire Logos album on repeat for days.
Those are good days.
My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.
If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.
Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.
I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
