If you like any of the following bands, you will probably like Between The Buried And Me.
Between the Buried and Me is my favourite metal band of all time. I see them as diverse, technically proficient, and tasteful band. They cover genres from Queen (s that a genre?) to Bluegrass, from Jazz to Grindcore.
Before I was a big metal fan, I was drawn into them by their poppy jazz and bossa nova sections. But as I listened further (in combination with the Dillinger Escape Plan) I slowly gained a respect for metal. Now I enjoy every part of their songs.
BTBAM has inspired me to become a much better guitarist (and drummer), especially after I saw them live in concert.
Anyone who loves metal should listen to them. I know I've heard complaints from some metal elitists that BTBAM "jump around too Much", or that they "can't make up their mind about what genre they are".
I'll tell you what genre they are: I eat crap like you for breakfast.
My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.
If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.
Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.
I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
