Biphasic Sleep For Musicians Day 18

  • 7:20am - Waking up was quite difficult and I really wanted to just sleep in.
  • 1:30pm - After an hour, I was fairly awake, but that first hour really was quite tiring.

Since my morning, I've been mostly awake. I'm occasionally drowsy as usual, but other than that I'm quite alright.

TheRealMusician Recommends:

If you want to take marketing your music to another level, then I can't recommend enough John Oszajca's music marketing manifesto. My favorite aspect of his complete program was his stance on email marketing, where he really leverages the that "1000 true fans" philosophy.

His website is a bit hokey (Flaming guitars? Seriously?), but his program really shows independant artists how to get a leg-up on signed artists.

  • 2:15pm - Feeling fairly drowsy. Sitting in the passenger seat of a car, I nearly feel asleep even though I'm sitting in an upright position.
  • 1am - I had a bit of a busy day, and I wasn't able to take my nap until after 11pm, which is waaaay too late.  I did anyways though, and when I woke up I felt very drowsy and wanted to just sleep more.

It's moments like these that make me want to give up entirely, but I won't yet.

Day 19

  • 8:30am - As usual, waking up was pretty hard. It doesn't seem to be much easier, so it's possible that I may have plateau'd  with this schedule as far as awareness in the mornings goes.
  • 9:20am - I've woken up a fair amount after having a shower. Not completely awake, but not too bad either.
  • 2:45pm - I don't feel particularly tired, but I do feel grumpy. This could be because I'm out shopping in a crowded value village, or it could have to do with my sleep. Although I'm not drowsy, I still can sense myself being somewhat exhausted and wanting to go take a deep rest.
  • 9:39pm - I took my nap at 8, although it did feel very short and I was drowsy when I woke up.

Within a few minutes, I was feeling very awake and alert.

  • 2am - I am ready to sleep and feel fairly tired, though it isn't unpleasant at all, just a bit tired is all.

About The Writer

My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.

If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.

Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.

I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
