If you like any of the following bands, you will probably like Cloudkicker.
Cloudkicker is an unsigned one-man band, but you would never know by listening to his albums.
Once you get past the first track on his album 'Beacons', it's a non-stop ride of tasteful forward-motion nova's, and hardcore instrumental metal.
That album (my fav) is all about the data recovered from a crashed airliner. Each song is titled after a quote from the black box. It's an awesome concept, and highly original in my opinion. You can't wait to listen to "Here, wait a minute! Damn it!", it's a fantastic song!
Most of the instruments are standard metal ones, guitar, bass, drums, no vocals, the standard metal instrumental! But what he does with it is simply…
I would listen to Cloudkicker if you are in the mood for something to force you to move forward.
It has a semi-serious tone to it, so I wouldn't listen to it if you are in the mood for something to make you jittery and rainbow-happy, but more if you wanted to go for a run or pump some iron; it would definitely get your heart pumping.
Anyone should be able to appreciate him. Even guys that like lame 'metal' bands like Atreyu.
My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.
If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.
Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.
I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
