Fantomas tabs Fantômas

FantomasMy Genre: Insane...Just Insane What's this?

iTunes Genre: Metal

Who's in the band?

-Mike Patton on [Vocals] and [Electronic Instrument Programming].

-Buzz Osborne on [Guitar].

-Trevor Roy Dun on [Bass].

-Dave Lombardo on [Drums].

My Experience:

What can I say about Fantomas. When I first heard them on YouTube (The Montreux Jazz Festival Video), I immediately thought I had lost my mind.

I've never heard such a random collaboration of...indescribable music. You simply have to listen in order to know what I am talking about.

To put it into more perspective (And you will get plenty when you watch the video below), the album "Delirium Cordia" is a single 120 Minute long song about someone going under anesthesia.

The final 20 minutes is just the sound of a record scratching.

So to say the least, Fantomas is a very experimental band.

So take a listen!

Noticeable Traits:

  • They Are Insane
  • Twisted Cartoon Noises
  • Movie Soundtracks songs Re-mixed (Heavy Metal Godfather Theme)
  • A Painting of Mike Patton's Genius
  • Dave Lombardo is the "Godfather of the Double Bass Kick"
  • Did I Mention They're Insane?

Featured Band:

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.

Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
