Gorillaz

GorillazMy Genre: Trip Hop RockWhat's this?

iTunes Genre: Alternative

Who's in the band?

-2D on [Vocals], [Keyboard].

-Murdoc Niccals on [Bass Guitar].

-Russel Hobbs on [Drums], [Percussion].

-Noodle on [Vocals], [Guitar].

My Experience:

I used to listen to Gorillaz when I was a kid, but that was only because of their singles, and that was back when I used to listen to crap anyways.

So when I finally rediscovered them after starting to get into the electronica scene, I was really impressed with how incredible their music was.

You have of course heard of the Gorillaz, who hasn't. But maybe you haven't really seen the subtleties and complexities of them?

They are a lot better than most people think, so take a listen.

Noticeable Traits:

  • Usually a sweet Drum and Bass beat
  • Features lots of different artists
  • Great Rap
  • Quite Soothing
  • More Experimental than you think (See "O Green World")

Featured Band:

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.

Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
