My Experience:
Like so many others, I was introduced to this band by my friend Jet Crossley, one of his favorite bands.
The first song I heard was "Pah no" which immediately left a massive impression on me.
You know when you have that band, where they are really good, but you don't really know it until you listen through their album a few times?
This isn't that band. They are freaking amazing, and you know it right away.
If you saw the Genre I gave it up top, I said "Instrumental Progressive Indie Metal"...because that was the best way I could describe it.
Imagine yourself a much more upbeat Isis , except with no lyrics, and much more focus on awesome drum beats.
No...that doesn't give you Irepress, but that is about the best way for me to describe them.
Now you just have to hear them for yourself, below.
Noticeable Traits
Instrumental
Often changes from very light, to very heavy and distorted.
They don't really have any sort of song structure...
Very very progressive.
Really unique and sometimes eerie sound.

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.
Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
