Who's in his band? -John Clayton Mayer on [Lead Guitar] and [Lead Vocals]
-Pino Palladino on [Electric Bass]
-Steve Jordan on [Drums and Percussion]
My Experience:
Okay, I actually hated John Mayer for so long. But that was when he wrote all his pop (The Albums "Room For Squares" and "Heavier Things").
But when he came out with "Continuum" I was blown away. It was just this style of blues that I found amazing.
It was as if he combined Pop and Stevie Ray Vaughan style Blues.
I just think it is miraculous.
Noticeable Traits:
Bringing back the Stevie Ray Vaughan Stlye Blues
Insightful, Yet Easily Understandable, Lyrics
Great Guitar Tone
Excellent Bass lines, although they are mixed so well you usually can't tell
Very Professional and Well Organized Live Performances (No Goofing Around)
My Favorite Songs
John Mayer- Belief
John Mayer- Gravity (forgive the Letterman intro, but it was my favorite live performance of the song.)
John Mayer- Slow Dancing in a Burning Room
Albums
As Much as the first two albums are not really all that groundbreaking, I still will include them in this tab Discography for the sake of completeness.
