My Experience:

I got into Kayo Dot after listening to Maudlin Of The Well which consists of mainly the same band members.

I find that the sound of this band is very...unformed. Many of the songs are super long, and take quite a bit of concentration in order for you to fully appreciate.

But once you sit down and just focus on the music you find yourself pleasantly with something really incredible.

Noticeable Traits:

Very unformed
Metal.
Lots of great ambient sections.
Very Similar to Maudlin of the Well.
