Mojo Gogo
Following them up was MOJO GOGO, a band on the Derry music scene.
The first song from the band has a frenetic sound to it that manages to grab you and strangle the air. “This Isn’t Love” launches itself into the intro and then it is a confident march onwards and upwards from there on in.
A song that gets the juices flowing and the very same can be said of “Tonight”. A song that continues on in much the same vein, but the ska influence on it leads to a comparison with bands like THE CLASH or THE SPECIALS. You can’t help but fall in love with it when you hear it.
Then the band rolled away with things with their closing song. Most definitely a case of the old adage of saving the best till last with “For Better For Worse”.
A song that floors you with the ability to deliver a staggeringly strong song, but watching the effortless manner behind the delivery showcases a band that gets on with proceedings and delivers a very heavy hitter with this one.
"Like a cross between Elvis Costello and Ska, Mojo GoGo are infectious, fun, and exciting" - Roddie Cleere, WLRFM
