The new EP by MoM starts with some tasteful natural guitar harmonics. It’s pleasant. Yay. Great Job!
With my personal pretentiousness aside, the good things I really notice after giving the EP a listen through, is:
Now I would say some of my complaints about the EP are:
I think if the EP were to introduce some new concepts, it would be a lot higher up on my list. But I found that a lot of it was very typical.
Was it well done? Yes! Very much so. It doesn’t sound amateurish or anything like that, and beats the hell out of Nickelback.
But as far as doing something that might get me excited, I’m not hearing that in this EP.
It is worth a listen, don’t get me wrong on that front. I’m obviously a snotty and critical music reviewer, so for those of you with less strict music taste’s (oh how pretentious can I get, right?) you will find this to be an excellent and pleasing EP.
For me, I wouldn’t personally add it to my music library, but it wasn’t painful to listen to either, it was just mediocre.
But don’t let me decide for you, go take a listen. If it grabs your fancy, don’t feel guilty about liking something that I wouldn’t listen to.
My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.
If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.
Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.
I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
