Muse Band Picture

My Genre: Alternative/Progressive Rock What's this?

iTunes Genre: Alternative & Punk

Who's in the band?

-Matthew Bellamy on [Guitar], [Keyboard],and [vocals]

-Christopher Wolstenholme on [Backing Vocals], [Bass]

-Dominic Howard on [Drums], [Percussion], and [Human Bones].

My Experience:

My friend Michael Schellenberg first referred me to Muse, and after he lent me "Black Holes and Revelations" I became hooked.

I won't lie, they were my favorite band for a good year of my life. I just had such a massive love for Matthew Bellamy's Falcetto voice, and I just couldn't comprehend his writing to be so...perfect.

Of course, all good things come to an end, and the "Favorite Band Title" became switched with The Mars Volta.

But Muse, you had a good run in my mind.

Although I think they might be selling out a bit...in case you haven't heard the Resistance single yet, go listen to it.

Sounds like Marilyn Manson's Personal Jesus.

Noticeable Traits:

  • Matt Bellamy's Unique Falsetto
  • Distortion Bass Lines
  • Incredible Piano and Keyboard Parts
  • Vocal Jazz Type Mix in Vocal Harmonies
  • Wicked Guitar Riffs and Solo's (Some Critically Acclaimed)

Featured Band:

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.

Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
