The only songs on this album I actually liked, to any degree, were Unnatural Selection, MK Ultra, and Exogenesis (All 3). And that's not to say that I loved them or anything, but they were the only songs that I could handle without wanting to drink bleach. Set List
I do give them credit for protecting our endangered earth though. I really think the band is doing their part in this world because they didn't bother to write anything original with this album. They simply re-used old chord progressions, guitar riffs, and vocal parts. See! No more excess waste from original music! To better help you understand "The Resistance" as an album, I offer you an alternative album title that I believe is much more suitable, considering the nature of the album.
In Short, this is The Album where Muse ran out of ideas, so they decided to use all of their old songs, smash them together, and then throw in some Marilyn Manson, Queen, and Rihanna and every other artist you can think of for good measure. (As stated at the beginning of the review...see what I did there? I began with my Conclusion, and Concluded with my beginning...I must be some sort of literary genius!) 5.6 It Goes In The Blue Bins If you haven't done so already:
