I first tried this band out after they played their last show with Irepress. I hadn't really given them a listen until then.
The Number Twelve looks like you is...a fairly peculiar band. With their music ranging from Grindcore to Jazz, it's a neat diversion from most "Hardcore" music.
Although they are only for a really specific crowd (Specifically, the type of crowd that likes bands like Converge).
So go ahead a give a listen.
Noticeable Traits:
Great Screaming Vocals
Lots of Jazz Interludes
Awesome Clean Guitar Mathcore Sections (The Devil's Dick Disaster)
Will get you super pumped.

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.
Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
