Every muse has their 'secret' collection of albums or records, which they wouldn't divulge over a social coffee...
This is one of them...
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's solo project, was typically a new medium where The Mars Volta, could pump out their vast array of productions through more lenient distributions, rather than having to wait through Warner Brothers Music which has set contractual restrictions of releases (so I assume).
Breaking the sound barriers of music, this specific collection of explicit experimental/avant-garde creations are not for the feint-hearted. This is where the more vicious side of The Volta get to erupt their ever-so destructive sound into music. Riskier than russian-roulette but just simply awesome!
Calibration & Old Money are the albums you want. If you've already acquired a taste for Omar's bizarre styles, look into his other albums.
Andrew Says: I'm a big fan of Xenophanes actually.

About The Writer
My name is Andrew Muller. I love creative art, music, television shows, movies, video games, and a good story.
If you had to find me somewhere, you would probably find me down at O'neils home cooking eating an organic sweet-potato bun breakfast sandwich with ham.
Among my friends, it's a "Muller Classic Move" to eat Mcdonald's at 2am because it's cheap and open 24/7. The joke here is that I'm an idiot.
I play drums, guitar, piano, and I write & perform music for My Goal Is Telepathy. Take a listen to the latest sound here.
