This is one of them... Omar Rodriguez-Lopez's solo project, was typically a new medium where The Mars Volta, could pump out their vast array of productions through more lenient distributions, rather than having to wait through Warner Brothers Music which has set contractual restrictions of releases (so I assume).
Breaking the sound barriers of music, this specific collection of explicit experimental/avant-garde creations are not for the feint-hearted. This is where the more vicious side of The Volta get to erupt their ever-so destructive sound into music. Riskier than russian-roulette but just simply awesome!
Calibration & Old Money are the albums you want. If you've already acquired a taste for Omar's bizarre styles, look into his other albums.
