Orphaned Land

(Paris, France)
Just passing by and looking at your list, from a Between the Buried and Me page.
I didn't see Orphaned Land, which is an unbelievable band, at least for their "Mabool" album. Their last and recent one has less focus and inspiration I think.
In a few words, they have metal and hard rock roots, mixed with progressive elements and very audible oriental influences, whether it be in the melodies or the use of middle eastern instruments.
The singer shows great versatility going from death metal growl to choir-like textures. The piano adds to the ambiance and melodies, whereas the electric guitar alternates between strong melodic riffs and incredible solos (a bit 80's rooted I'd say).
Mabool is one of the best album I have ever listened too. It is complex but never really lets you see it. The different layers really serve a purpose and the best thing is, everyone can like it, even when not into metal (I tested it on different girls friends !). Hope you enjoy it.

James Moore (author of the popular music marketing book "Your Band Is A Virus") can help you promote your Album, EP, Music Video, or just your band in general.
I have spoken to James personally many times, and he is a very professional and respectful person to work with.
