The Raconteurs Tabs The Raconteurs

The Raconteurs Live

My Genre: Alternative Rock What's this?

iTunes Genre: Alternative & Punk

Who's in the band?

-Jack White on [Guitar], [Keyboard], [stylophone] and [vocals].

-Brendan Benson on [Vocals], [Guitar] and [Keyboard].

-Jack Lawrence on [Electric Bass], [Banjo], and [Backing Vocals].

-Patrick Keeler on [Drums] and [Percussion].

My Experience:

A friend of mine, Andrew Wyman, referred me to The Raconteurs during an animation class I took.

I was especially skeptical because he was a massive White Stripes Fan. Although I do recognize the originality of the White Stripes, I just have never been able to get into them.

Anyways, I was immediately drawn to The Raconteurs, and their song "Carolina Drama" quickly became my favorite song by them (I guess I'm just a big fan of the "Concept" Albums and Songs).

Although there are only 2 albums, I would say that Consolers of the Lonely shows a whole lot more character.

But that's just me.

Noticeable Traits:

  • Jack White's Unique Voice
  • Carolina Drama Is a Grrreeat Story
  • Sporadic Time Signature Changes
  • Vocal Harmonies are Superb
  • Steady as She Goes?

Featured Band:

Gorillaz

Gorillaz is a super classic band, and for a good reason. With some of the best combinations of electronic music, featuring artists from Mos Def, to MF Doom, it's a really incredible band.

Their newest album, "The Fall", was even recording entirely on an iPad! I highly recommend they become an integral part to your music library, and I've been listening to them for the last month straight (Religiously).
